Care for your candle
This is how you take care of your candle
So that you can fully enjoy your candle and keep it for a long time, we have summarized the most important care tips here:
1.Before first use
To spread the scent better and more intensely in the wax, turn the candle upside down for 24 hours before lighting it for the first time. You can also do this from time to time, when the candle cools and hardens
. 2. Proper smoking
Allow the candle to burn completely. To ensure even burning, always allow the candle to burn for at least 1 hour at a time and up to 4 hours. The wax should melt evenly from the wick to the edge of the candle.
3.Safe location
To avoid soot and uneven burning, avoid placing your scented candle near a window or in a draft. Keep it away from walls or flammable objects such as curtains or paper to prevent them from igniting.
4.Never leave a candle unattended
Never leave a burning candle unattended and keep pets and children away from the flame. Because the glass can get hot, the candle should only be touched or moved once it has gone out.
5.Don't let the candle burn out completely
In addition, it is worth remembering not to let the candle burn out completely. Most candles have a built-in metal stopper that extinguishes the flame when less than 1 cm of wax remains, protecting the glass vessel from overheating.
6.Put out the candle properly
You can use a lid to extinguish a scented candle without creating too much soot and smoke. Be careful though, as the lid can get hot. Before leaving a candle unattended, make sure the flame is completely extinguished.
7. Trimming the wick
Before each lighting, trim the wick to approximately 0.5-1 cm to prevent soot build-up and the formation of "wick flowers".
8.Remove wax from glass
If you want to recycle and clean your wax jar, fill it with boiling water and let it cool. Once the wax has collected on the surface and cooled, you can remove it from the water and wash it with soap.
